Am I a Ukrainian tax resident?

The Tax Code defines a resident with a ladder: each rung applies only if the one above did not settle it. Answer the questions and the tool shows where on that ladder you land. This is the Ukrainian side of the test only — the country you live in has its own. Tax Code art. 14.1.213

1. Do you have a place of residence in Ukraine — a home you can live in (registered or actual)?

Three things that always matter

  • This is Ukraine’s test. The country you live in has its own — and it usually decides first, because that is where your income is.
  • Your answers are claims you will have to evidence: a lease or title to the home, residence registration, the children’s school records, passport stamps for the 183 days.
  • The result is orientation, not a determination. The tax service (and the notary when computing tax) decides — and may disagree with how you answered questions 3 and 4.

This is not tax or legal advice. The tool applies the Code’s general rule to your answers; your actual status is decided by the authorities and by documents.
